Thank you for visiting my site and my artwork. I am a self-taught artist that started building popsicle stick miniatures with nothing but wonder, desire, and of course, popsicle sticks. The success of my first piece, “Lobster Shack”, unexpectedly launched me into a passion for building additional miniatures representative of a small, fictitious Cape Cod town, I’ve named Capetown, MA.
The delight that people experience when they see my creations was the catalyst for wanting to make them visible to a wider audience. Credit goes to my friend Ken for his technical assistance and coaching, and to my friend Cynthia for her editing skills. They greatly helped make this website possible.
My artwork is listed on this site in the order of creation. For each piece you can expect sections of information that include:
- Related Cape Cod Fun Facts
- A brief Description that includes size and time invested to design and build
- An overview of the Materials Used
- Photos
There is also a comment section on each page where you can include any comments you wish to share. As I create additional artwork, I will add them to this website. Check back here as often as you’d like to see what I’ve been up to.
Very important to the realistic outcome of each completed miniature is the time spent designing & constructing the landscape for the plywood base. It completes the piece, helps tell the story I wish to convey through my artwork, and enables viewers to imagine themselves actually there.
In addition to my Cape Cod miniatures, I have included related information that viewers have requested on the last three pages of this site. Please see the pages titled “Display Gallery & Workshop”, “Wood Carvings of Birds”, and “About Cape Cod & The Islands”.
Thanks for stopping by. I welcome you to freely share my website with others using the share links below.
